Alyssa, you are fearless. You hold the cup of nectar and walk after the lorikeets! You just prefer that they not sit on your arms. I don't blame you, it is sort of a weird feeling! While you were holding the nectar and the lorikeets were perched on my arm eating, you would pause to give me kisses! After the birds finished one cup of nectar, we had to go back to get more because you kept telling us that you wanted to feed them more!
Katelyn, you are a bit more hesitant than your sister. You enjoy feeding the birds as long as mommy and daddy are close by. You didn't like it when the lorikeets flew over your head, it felt funny to hear them flapping so close to our ears! At one point when you were holding the nectar and the lorikeet was perched on daddy, about three other lorikeets flew over onto daddy! They were sitting on his shoulders and arms, you really enjoyed that and started to giggle away!
While we were walking around Safari Park, we saw a bunch of ducks around the lagoon. Katelyn, you
told me: mommy look, those are mallard ducks!
The other week when we were at the lake feeding the ducks, a little girl told you the different ducks that were there. You have since remembered the distinct markings of a mallard duck. :)
