Where has the time gone? Alyssa bear, in a few short days you will be 5 months new. You are such a happy and care free baby. I can already tell that you adore your big sister. Katelyn was the first person to make you laugh hysterically and she is the only person that can make you laugh every.single.time she decides to jump up and down or do something silly for you! You are a pro at sitting on your own. We still use the bebe pod but have to watch you like a hawk because you thrust your body like you are trying to stand up in it and you actually move the bebe pod backwards while you are in it! It is so silly to watch! You really enjoy laying on your play mat and you move around everywhere on it. You like to flap your arms like a bird while wiggling your butt side-to-side with your knees bent. That is how you get around and it is absolutely adorable! When you do this, Katelyn laughs so hard it looks like she is going to pee in her pants!
We've begun putting bibs on you, you're a drooling machine! You also have begun rolling from back to belly! So far, you've only done this once- but you've done it! You were already rolling from belly to back at 3 months and I've been wondering when you would go from back to belly.
Your hair is growing- the back sides are longer than anywhere else. Instead of having a tail like some boys do, I think you are preparing for pigtails with your two sides of longer hair.
When mommy was pregnant, daddy and I couldn't decide upon a theme for your room. We really wanted to make your room into a jungle room like Katelyn's with hanging monkeys but didn't want you to feel like we were "copying" her room. So while Katelyn has hanging monkeys, you have a 5 foot giraffe and trees. You've never shown an interest in the giraffe until papa put a monkey ON the giraffe. You caught sight of that monkey on the giraffe yesterday and your eyes lit up. I've also noticed that when we go into Katelyn's room, your eyes light up when you see the monkeys, you get the biggest gummy smile and start talking to them! Alyssa, you are such a SWEET baby- you make my heart smile!
